Kelly is hiring a RD&A Scientist for one of our clients in Beloit, WI

Brief Overview: Taste Innovation team. Work with flavor development for sauces, beverages, and other various divisions across company. Working on new product development and scalability. A team member is going on an extended leave (6-8 months). The role will focus on general lab work in both analytical and sensory. In general will support team of scientists, lab upkeep, etc. Analytical or sensory background a plus.

Reason for opening: Extended leave

Duration: 8 months

Potential to convert?: Yes potential based on performance

Schedule: M-F 8 AM – 5 PM

Pay & Flexibility: $25-$28 depending on experience

Food Allergies?: No sensory on allergen products

Target Start Date: As soon as possible

RD&A Scientist

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Laboratory Intern, are to:

• Work closely with analytical development scientist to create new GC and/or HPLC methods

• Participate in sample preparation and optimizing the GC and/or HPLC methods.

• Independently prepare buffers, samples, and solvents for analysis.

• Taste modulation product development from ideation to scale-up.

• Analyze, interpret, and summarize data

• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Assistant to other team members

• Participate in lab maintenance and housekeeping activities

• Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment.

 

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum of 3 months experience with general scientific laboratory.

• BS in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related degree

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software related issues
