We are looking for a Receptionist for our client in Sackville, NB.
You will be in a key front-line role at their busy Information Centre. As the first point of contact for many travelers, this position requires a friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic individual who will ensure visitors receive a welcoming and informative experience. As the Receptionist you will provide in-person, email, and phone assistance to visitors, promotes local and provincial tourism offerings, and supports the general operations and cleanliness of the centre. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors in-person, providing accurate and engaging information about attractions, accommodations, events, and services in the Municipality of Tantramar and throughout the Province.
- Respond to tourism-related inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of local and provincial tourism products, services, and points of interest.
- Prepare and distribute visitor information kits and promotional materials.
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and presentation of the Visitor Information Centre, including displays, literature racks, and public areas.
- Restock brochures and promotional materials as needed.
- Support retail operations within the Centre, if applicable.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support coworkers as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager or designate.
- Strong knowledge of New Brunswick's attractions, history, geography, and culture, with the ability to quickly learn about the Municipality of Tantramar specifically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality setting.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience in a retail setting is an asset.
- Proficiency in English is required; bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset.
- Previous tourism-related experience is an asset.
- First Aid/CPR training is an asset.
- A pay rate of $20-21 depending on experience
