Job Opening: Temporary Receptionist (Bilingual - Spanish/English)
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85009
Duration: Approximately 8 weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Pay Rate: $20–$23 per hour (Preferred: $21/hr, negotiable based on experience and urgency)
About the Role:
We are seeking a personable, bilingual (Spanish/English) receptionist to join our district office for a temporary assignment of about 8 weeks, covering while our full-time employee is on leave. This role is essential for managing our front desk and supporting our internal team and visitors.
Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls using our MyTel office phone system
  • Transfer calls to internal staff as needed
  • Look up and provide phone numbers for different school locations from a directory
  • Greet and assist all building visitors (typically few—may include mail carriers, occasional guests, etc.)
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional environment in the office
Requirements:
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Prior receptionist experience preferred
  • Friendly and polite demeanor
  • Comfortable with basic office phone use (MyTel experience is a plus, but not required)
  • Reliable attendance, except for recognized holidays and district-approved days off
  • Able to follow a professional dress code (business casual: no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts; acceptable attire includes dresses, skirts, slacks, golf shirts, blouses, etc.)
