Job Title: Receptionist I
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $17/hour
Position Overview:
The Receptionist I plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient front office environment. This position is responsible for answering incoming calls, greeting and directing visitors, and coordinating meeting room reservations. The Receptionist I also supports the accounts payable department and assists with other administrative tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promptly and professionally answer and direct all incoming calls to the appropriate individual or department.
- Greet and guide visitors, vendor representatives, and other guests to their meeting destinations.
- Provide telephone instruction to employees, maintain telephone system programming (e.g., voice mail, speed dial), and manage conference and training room reservations using Outlook calendar.
- Assist accounts payable by responding to vendor inquiries regarding invoice payment status.
- Collect, code, and mail freight invoices to Data Freight for payment.
- Perform administrative support to ensure the smooth operations of the office.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to work consistently during scheduled hours.
- Must pass company-required drug screening, physical, and background screening.
- Ability to maintain professional and effective communications in a moderate noise environment.
- Incoming calls are answered immediately, courteously, and forwarded appropriately.
- A consistently positive and helpful attitude is exhibited, promoting smooth operations within the company.
