Regulatory Affairs Specialist III - San Fernando, CA

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist III for a full-time position at our growing facility in San Fernando, CA. Type: Contract to hire
Shift: M-F 8a-5p
Pay Range: $31–$35 per hour


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and manage regulatory and technical documents from suppliers
  • Maintain and update substantiation databases
  • Review supplier documents for compliance with AFF standards as part of the supplier approval process
  • Prepare routine regulatory documents for AFF finished products (e.g. Allergen, GMO, Bioengineered, Ingredient Statement, Country of Origin, Vegan, Natural)
  • Respond to requests for non-standard product information
  • Research and apply domestic and international regulations
  • Review finished product formulas and maintain compliance records
  • Assess supplier documents and product formulations for international regulatory compliance
  • Maintain compliance database
  • Prepare documents for ingredient registration and customs-related requests
  • Complete documentation for product certifications (Halal, Kosher, Organic, etc.)
  • Submit applications for TTB approvals and generate Formulation Ingredient Disclosure Statements (FIDS)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in regulatory affairs
  • Experience with Halal, Kosher, and Organic certification processes
  • Familiarity with international regulations is preferred
  • Strong logic, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to accuracy and detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications
