Kelly® Science & Clinical is seekinga Scientist for a contract-to-hire position with a growing biotechnology and R&D client in Malvern PA.

Schedule:  M-F, 1st shift
Location: Malvern, PA
**Direct hire considered for the right candidate

SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, performs testing of and provides production support to incoming raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under minimal supervision, tests incoming raw materials and finished products for intended use and to ensure they perform to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Performs all testing in accordance with Company SOPs.
• Performs testing and prepares documentation within assigned timelines and in compliance with cGXP's.
• Informs supervisor immediately of any out-of-specification products.
• Performs stability and in-use studies of raw materials and finished products.
• Conducts other experiments upon request.
• Performs equipment calibration and monitors calibration records.
• Operates computer-controlled instruments and collects and analyzes data on a daily basis.
• Properly documents all test results.
• Creates lab reports as needed.
• Revises SOPs and tests protocols when required.
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS in Chemistry/Biology (or related)
• 2-5yrs of related industry experience
• Wet Chemistry experience (weighing, pipetting, titration)
• Instrumental skills – GC, HPLC, FTIR, autotitrator, etc.
• Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel)
• Experience with and/or the ability to learn Agilent OpenLAB is a plus
• Ability to conduct Internet searches to obtain information relating to test methods and instrumentation
