Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: White Georgia – 5 days on site
Reports To: Controller
Salary: $90-110k range depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for interpreting financial data, conducting in-depth cost analysis, and overseeing inventory management. Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis:

  • Analyze costs related to production, labor, and overhead to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate variance reports and provide actionable recommendations to enhance profitability.
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to track budget performance and ensure cost-effective decision-making.
  • Contribute to pricing strategies, capital projects, and inventory management through data-driven insights.
  • Build and maintain standard cost models to guide key operational processes.
Inventory Management:
  • Oversee and manage inventory controls, ensuring accurate tracking and valuation.
  • Implement strategies to minimize waste, reduce discrepancies, and avoid obsolescence.
  • Conduct regular physical counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory turnover and forecasting.
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
  • Analyze operating results and variances to plan, providing insights for key stakeholders.
  • Support the annual budget and mid-term planning processes, assisting with forecasts and segment P&L reports.
  • Develop advanced reporting models to streamline financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Prepare month-end executive reports and support the finance team with detailed analysis.
General Accounting Duties:
  • Prepare and review month-end journal entries and assist with audits.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Stay up to date with new accounting regulations and help implement necessary changes.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong expertise in cost accounting and inventory management.
  • Proven ability to provide insightful cost-related analysis that drives operational improvements.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (advanced Excel skills required),
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
  • A sharp eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on research and resolving complex issues.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
