Senior Accountant
$35/HR DOE
Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM



About:
The Senior Accountant will oversee general accounting operations, controlling and verifying financial and inventory transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling account balances, overseeing inventory accuracy, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
  • The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills along with a thorough understanding of accounting principles to analyze financial data, transactions, reports, and forecasts.
 
Duties: 
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory staff and reconciliation process, providing input and recommendations for improvement.
  • Financial Operations: Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to produce error-free accounting reports.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial information, summarize financial status, and present results.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice on accounting systems and review recommendations for system modifications.
  • Goal Setting and Planning: Participate in departmental goal setting and assist with financial statement and budget preparation.
  • Compliance and Process Development: Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and develop/document business processes to strengthen internal controls.
  • Staff Management: Plan, assign, and review staff work while supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
 
Qualifications:
  • Education: BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an accountant with a strong inventory management background.
  • Skills: Advanced MS Excel proficiency, accuracy, attention to detail, research skills, and quantitative aptitude.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting and POS software such as GP Dynamics, Plate IQ, Nexternal, Silverware, etc.
  • Attributes: Deadline-oriented, confidential, thorough, and possessing strong analytical and communication skills.
