Pay: $50-55/hr based on experience
This is a 6 month contract covering for someone on maternity leave

What's a typical day as Senior Accountant/Senior Financial Analyst? You'll be:
• Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, while reporting to the Finance Manager.
• Managing and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts, including bank statements.
• Analyzing financial statements, reports, and data to identify discrepancies and trends, supporting budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations, and assisting with annual audits.
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, and preparing various tax returns, such as payroll and sales tax.
• Developing recommendations for new or improved accounting systems and procedures, while ensuring compliance with local laws and group policies.
• Supporting US GAAP and IFRS interpretation, documenting issues clearly and comprehensively.
• Collaborating with auditors to ensure timely and accurate information sharing and audit completion.
• Managing month-end closing activities and ensuring accuracy of financial information in Hyperion data systems.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and have a CPA.
• Are familiar with month-end processes/tasks and journal entries.
• Have demonstrated knowledge of financial and management accounting, with a strong commercial background.
• Bring expertise in local, federal, and provincial regulatory agencies.
• Have proven experience with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Are skilled in enforcing financial control systems, policies, and procedures.
• Possess strong data gathering, analytical, and report preparation skills.
• Have hands-on experience with ERP systems and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can commit to an onsite role for a 6-month contract covering maternity leave.
