Job Title: Senior Molecular Technologist
Location: Roswell, GA
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Shift: To Be Confirmed

Position Summary:

A rapidly growing clinical laboratory based in Roswell, GA is seeking a Senior Molecular Technologist to join its dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge environment focused on advancing molecular diagnostics. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex NGS library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis

  • Author and update SOPs, laboratory worksheets, and related documentation

  • Assist in validation of laboratory-developed tests (LDTs) and define QC metrics

  • Lead troubleshooting and preventative maintenance efforts on lab equipment

  • Ensure compliance with CLIA/CAP standards, including QA/QC and safety procedures

  • Train team members on lab processes and safety protocols

  • Provide on-site supervision of laboratory testing personnel (as delegated)

  • Serve as secondary response for emergent events requiring on-site presence

  • Conduct DNA extraction, quantification, and sample handling

  • Support workflow optimization in collaboration with lab leadership

  • Participate in regular team meetings and maintain meeting documentation

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Medical Technology, or related field

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in molecular, clinical, or genetic laboratory settings

  • ASCP certification (MB, MLS, or SMB) – or eligible with a pending exam date

  • Hands-on NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) experience required

  • Experience with Methyl-Seq is a plus

  • Familiarity with CLIA, CAP, or other accredited lab environments

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and handle PHI

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative
