Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Job Description:
Kelly Services is hiring for a global leader and innovator in inspection, verification, testing, and certification services, recognized as the benchmark for quality and integrity. The Shipping & Receiving Specialist performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. This role involves verifying that materials received are as ordered and routing incoming items to the appropriate departments/locations. The specialist prepares items for shipment, ensuring the use of cost-effective courier services.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick up, drop off, distribute, and ship items to designated laboratories/refineries.
  • Log samples into the laboratory system and properly retain samples.
  • Prepare samples for transportation and dispatch courier services for urgent shipments.
  • Archive sample, retain records, and assist laboratory and operations personnel in retrieving samples.
  • Perform daily maintenance of departmental company vehicles.
  • Operate a forklift for loading and unloading shipments.
  • Receive and accurately distribute/process all packages delivered by various transportation couriers.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Must maintain a clean driving record and always possess a valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work with all chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum products.
  • Capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds; must be able to climb, bend, and reach without restrictions.
  • Familiarity with data entry is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and comprehend labels and instructions.
  • Capability to follow instructions independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in addressing problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other relevant applications.
  • Lift/carry/push or pull: Frequently (up to 50 lbs)
