Shipping/Receiving Worker  Kelly Services is partnering with a Customer in Burnswick, OH and we have openings for Logistics/Receiving Associates ! Job Description The Logistics/Receiving Associate supports a wide variety of inbound and outbound activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for all business units. This role coordinates inbound receipts and outbound shipments while handling multiple customer service activities related to shipping. Compensation

  • Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (two 15-minute paid breaks and a non-paid lunch).
  • Friday: 7:30 am - 2:00 pm (one 15-minute paid break and a non-paid lunch).
Duties and Responsibilities Inbound
  • Coordinate and schedule inbound shipments and manage dock schedule.
  • Schedule inbound services related to client purchasing activities.
  • Support the receiving functions
Outbound
  • Coordinate and schedule LTL (Less than Truckload) outbound shipments.
  • Obtain shipment requirements including date required and delivery requirements.
  • Complete quotes for each shipment and obtain approval for shipping carrier/quote.
Customer Service
  • Handle all carrier damage shipping claims.
  • Research customer complaints and lost items.
  • Respond to and resolve shipping exceptions.
  • Communicate with carriers regarding service levels and inform management of ongoing carrier performance issues.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a production environment handling inbound, outbound, and customer service activities.
  • Previous experience working with Parcel and LTL carriers.
  • Familiarity with receiving processes and procedures in a Distribution Center environment.
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Tow motor certified or willing to learn and certify.
Desired Skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Previous experience working with and in an application system.
