Staff Development Quality Engineer

  • Location: New Port Richey, Florida
  • Type: W2 contract (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)
  • Duration: 6+ month contract - Estimated to end - 4/2026 ( Contract extension potential)
  • Pay Rate – Negotiable depending on DIRECT-related experience up to $40 - $45 an hour
  • Work Authorization: Must be physically located in United States and have CURRENT United States employment authorization documents WITHOUT sponsorship requirements now or in the future.

 

Top 3 MUST HAVE skills -
  • 5+ years quality engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment. (i.e. Aerospace or Automotive)
  • Experience with APQP core tools. (Experience in both development and maintenance) (APQP = Advanced Product Quality Planning)
  • Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and DoE (Design of Experiments)

 

Job Summary:

The Sr Quality Engineer is responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers when quality-related topics arise. This individual will continuously assess quality capabilities for both products and processes.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Drive internal PPM improvements using iDT&R (Internal Defect Tracking & Resolution)
  • Drive external PPM improvements using CDT&R (Customer Defect Tracking & Resolution)
  • Maintain and update value stream quality systems using standard APQP tools.
  • Lead Quality related Kaizen events for your respective value stream.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to reduce scrap for your respective value stream.

 

 

The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.(Engineering or Technology)
  • 5+ years of quality engineering experience
  • Experience with APQP core tools. (Experience in both development and maintenance)
  • Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and DoE (Design of Experiments)

 

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Experience using Six Sigma tools.
  • ASQ or Six Sigma certifications.
  • A regulated manufacturing environment, i.e., Aerospace or Automotive
