We're seeking a Technical Paraprofessional – Academic Support Center to work at a respected college in Royal Oak for 3-6 weeks Sound good? Take a closer look below. Pay Rate: $20.51 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday 2:00pm-8:00pm and Friday 9:00am-3:00pm (Feb 6 only 8:30am-5:00pm and Feb 9th only 11:30am-8:00pm)
Length of contract: 3-6 weeks

What's a typical day as Technical Paraprofessional – Academic Support Center? You'll be:
  • Maintaining inventories, ordering supplies, and arranging equipment repairs in accordance with college procedures
  • Monitoring safety and security of work areas, ensuring compliance with MIOSHA cleanliness directives
  • Coordinating and staffing open lab hours for student support
  • Assisting students with technology questions and making appropriate referrals
  • Proctoring college and related exams according to established procedures
  • Overseeing payroll processes and hours for at-will Academic Support Center employees
  • Training and directing student personnel with proper approval
  • Preparing for labs and demonstrations, setting up and maintaining equipment
  • Performing clerical duties, assisting with budgeting and tracking assets
  • Supporting routine maintenance and cleanliness of lab facilities
  • Coordinating deliveries and procurement with college departments
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Hold an Associate Degree or higher (must have at least 16 credit hours in the supported discipline, or relevant experience in Academic Support Center roles)
  • Have strong communication and organizational skills
  • Are flexible with hours and able to work additional hours as needed
  • Have experience with technology
