10% ONSITE in Torrance, CA, must be able to able to commute to Torrance, CA

Pay: up to $33.89/hr

The Transportation Claims Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the claims process after vehicles are found damaged during transportation. When a vehicle is damaged, the analyst processes high value claims within 3 days of receiving the damage notification. They ensure that claims related to vehicle damage are resolved promptly, aiming for a high recovery rate.

Key performance metrics include maintaining less than 10% of undisputed claims outstanding for over 90 days, ensuring claims are paid within 45 days, achieving a 90% recovery rate on disputed claims, and clearing cars from holds within 3 days of the final survey. The goal is to have zero time-barred claims, with a 9-month period for claim consideration.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Process claims and maintain transportation claim records in CICS, ensuring credit memos are issued within 24 hours of Notice of Damage (NOD).
- Manage the Transportation Claims email inbox, responding promptly to inquiries.
- Evaluate claims resulting from dealer returns, ensuring responses to dealers within 72 hours and coordinating logistics for pick-ups.
- Handle large/high-value claims from Acts of God or derailments, ensuring mass credit memos and hold code removals are completed promptly.
- Process total loss claims by reviewing and approving ITD authorizations within 48 hours and coordinating final disposal paperwork.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and strong time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Sound decision-making capabilities.
- (Desired) Logistics experience or claims experience.
- (Desired) Strong negotiation skills.
