What's a typical day as an Upholstery Technician I? You'll be:
  • Performing upholstery functions in accordance with design, customer, FAA, and Gulfstream specifications

  • Completing installation and trim tasks per work order instructions

  • Fitting and installing interior components such as:

  • Panels and windows

  • Cabin headliners

  • Upper and lower sidewalls

  • Hatch panels

  • Carpets (cutting and surging)

  • Bulkhead coverings

  • Interior metal and composite trim panels

  • Creating carpet patterns using engineering design drawings

  • Using the material tracking system to:

  • Create parts demand

  • Track squawks

  • Sign off completed work

  • Ensuring all work meets quality, accuracy, and documentation standards

  • Performing additional duties as assigned

    This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
    • A High School Diploma or GED

    • Experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, or hand tools used in upholstery or carpet trades (preferred but not required)

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions

    • Basic math and measurement skills

    • Computer literacy and ability to learn tracking systems

    • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small/restricted areas, lift up to 40 lbs, and work assigned shifts

    • Strong attention to detail and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment

    Additional Details:
    • Entry-level friendly—training provided

    • Must be able to work weekend day shifts

    • Must meet physical requirements and adhere to safety standards

    • Must be able to work inside aircraft interiors and in shop environments
