Overview

As a Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive validation and verification testing for software, hardware, and mechanical systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Test Protocol Development, Execution & Reporting
- Develop and execute test plans and protocols for electrical, mechanical, and vision-based systems.
- Oversee product verification and validation processes, including Alpha and Beta testing.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide feedback to engineering teams.
- Identify, document, and escalate design issues encountered during testing.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate and resolve test failures.
- Maintain clear and detailed test reports documenting all findings and observations.
Test Fixture Development
- Define functional design requirements for new test fixtures and cycle testers.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in test processes and methodologies.
- Develop and document test fixture functionality using Arduino or similar platforms.
- Ensure all test fixtures meet current design and validation requirements.
Other Responsibilities
- Translate functional requirements into acceptance criteria for test cases.
- Train test technicians on test methods and procedures.
- Ensure project deadlines are met and communicate risks to management.
- Maintain adequate supplies of test materials and equipment.
- Assist in prototype assembly and testing, including Alpha field testing.
- Perform environmental testing to evaluate product durability and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering or product testing environment.
- Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Product verification/validation experience in a regulated industry is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with undercar service equipment is a plus.
