Warehouse Operation Supervisor - Kelly - Marysville, Ohio - $60,000 to $70,000 Annually
Job Summary:
The Supervisor, Warehouse Operations, is a hands-on operational leadership role within the Operations department, responsible for directly overseeing the daily activities of the warehouse team. Reporting to the Assistant Manager/Manager, Warehouse Operations, this individual will ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant processing of warehouse activities. The Supervisor will be responsible for team performance, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency within their team.
Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm (Overtime may be required)
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 Annually
Responsibilities:

Team Supervision and Leadership:
- Directly supervise a team of Warehouse Operations Associates and Lead Associates.
- Provide daily guidance, support, and direction to team members in all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Monitor individual and team performance against established targets and KPIs.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address issues, and reinforce best practices.
- Assist in training new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development, particularly in safety procedures and operational efficiency.

Daily Operations:
- Oversee the daily processing of warehouse activities, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure the team adheres to all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
- Monitor and ensure accurate and timely data entry into relevant systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Oversee the receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Coordinate with carriers, transportation providers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of goods.
- Resolve routine operational issues and escalate complex problems to the Assistant Manager/Manager.

Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure the team adheres to all relevant safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and security procedures.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
- Oversee proper handling of materials and equipment.

Reporting and Communication:
- Provide regular updates to the Assistant Manager/Manager on team performance, operational issues, and potential risks.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Other Duties:
- Perform other department members duties during their breaks, lunch, or as designated by Assistant Manager/Manager.
- Perform and instructs general housekeeping duties including sweeping, breaking down cartons, and throwing out trash.
- Perform any other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role is preferred.
- Solid understanding of warehouse management principles and procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
- Proficiency in using relevant logistics software and systems.
- Sit down forklift experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in warehouse management (e.g., Certified in Production and Inventory Management - CPIM).
- Knowledge of specific warehouse equipment and handling procedures.
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with internal systems and procedures.
