Job Title: Warehouse Selector
Location: Alcoa, TN 37701
Pay Rate: $22 per hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire (150-day contract)
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday (with occasional Fridays); average 9.5-hour shifts, approximately 45–48 hours per week
Shift Hours: Sunday 5:00 PM–completion | Monday–Thursday 6:00 PM–completion

Our Warehouse Selectors play a vital role in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a safe, clean, and team-oriented work environment.

Main Ingredients of the Job
  • Safely and accurately select customer orders according to order sheets.

  • Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.

  • Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate an electric pallet jack safely.

  • Move products from racks to pallets using order selecting software and equipment.

  • Validate that the correct product is selected and free of damage.

  • Deliver products to the correct dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.

  • Clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets, and return pallet jacks to the charging area.

  • Work effectively in a high-paced, team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5°F to over 100°F.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 20–80+ lbs. of product repetitively.

  • Move 1,000+ cases of product per shift.

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Ability to read and communicate in English to understand safety instructions, training materials, and labels.

  • Willingness to work night shifts (Sunday–Thursday, 6:00 PM until completion), with occasional weekends or holidays as needed.

  • Recent experience (within the last 6 months) in high-endurance or physically demanding work (e.g., construction, farming, sports, patient transfer, warehouse work, etc.) preferred.

  • Experience in warehouse order selection or distribution center operations preferred.

  • Experience operating motorized pallet jacks or similar warehouse equipment preferred.

  • Must be coachable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.

Training and Development
  • Full training is provided on all job duties, safety procedures, and equipment operation.

  • Training duration: approximately 2 weeks, followed by gradual integration into full work duties.
