Warehouse Supervisor

Kelly Services is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor for a client in St. Louis, MO. This role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations, leading a team, and ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. We are seeking a hands-on leader with strong logistics knowledge, WMS experience, and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management

    • Lead, motivate, and supervise a diverse warehouse team.

    • Manage scheduling, training, coaching, and performance to ensure efficient workflows and high team morale.

    • Develop and implement ongoing training programs focused on warehouse best practices and safety.

  • Warehouse & Logistics Operations

    • Oversee daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, staging, loading, and workflow management.

    • Coordinate logistics activities related to LTL and 3PL operations, including load planning, routing, and freight coordination.

    • Handle all shipping and receiving processes including packing, labeling, bills of lading, freight documentation, and carrier communication.

  • Inventory Management

    • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, stock audits, reconciliation, and reporting.

    • Monitor inventory levels and implement controls to reduce discrepancies and ensure optimal stock availability.

  • Systems & Reporting

    • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (SAP, Oracle, or similar) to track inventory, process orders, and manage warehouse operations.

    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry for receipts, shipments, inventory movements, and adjustments.

    • Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and increase productivity.

  • Safety & Compliance

    • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA standards and company safety policies.

    • Ensure proper operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification required or obtainable).

  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

    • Identify operational issues quickly and implement effective, practical solutions.

    • Adapt to changing priorities, volumes, and business needs in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of warehouse lead, supervisor, or management experience.

  • Strong understanding of shipping and receiving operations, including LTL and 3PL logistics.

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to train, coach, and develop teams.

  • Proficiency with WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

  • Forklift experience (certification preferred).

  • Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing KPIs and operational metrics.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to perform basic math for counts, measurements, and weights.

  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
