Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Welcome Center Specialist to join our team. As a Welcome Center Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exemplary service to all guests and callers to the University. You will work closely with the Admissions Staff and University Community to provide prompt and hospitable coverage for our 800 number. In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating prospective student campus visits, new student orientations, and related activities. We are looking for someone who is customer-oriented, detail-oriented, and has exceptional communication skills. - Pay Rate: $24.00+
- Shift: 1st

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Prepare student arrival packages and other logistics to ensure prospective students and families are well informed and feel welcome.
- Coordinate campus visits and tours for students and families who wish to visit campus.
- Work with students, families, and admissions representatives to ensure a successful start.
- Capable of multitasking with attention to detail.
- Evaluate prospects' needs and interests.
- Handle a high volume of incoming phone calls and make outbound calls as needed.
- Prioritize daily tasks.
- Pay attention to detail for data entry into Datatel.
- Professionally and positively represent the University.
- Report to the Director of Admissions.
- Assist NU Admissions staff with administrative task overflow and various projects.
- Train colleagues and NU student workers on job responsibilities to provide additional coverage.
- Create a positive and welcoming environment for prospective students and families when they visit campus by effectively communicating and working with faculty and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:
- High School diploma required.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills that transcend diverse audiences.
- Customer- and solution-oriented with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the
- Highly motivated, able to prioritize, and detail-oriented.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Preferably 1-3 years of office experience.
- Preferably working knowledge of Datatel.
