Description
Kelly Engineering is seeking an experienced Work Activity Coordinator in the Seadrift, Texas area! The Work Activity Coordinator ensures that field maintenance work is carried out in a manner that is safe, effective and efficient and is responsible for the productivity of the team that performs the maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Work with operations commissioning team and craft teams to develop job scope safely using Dow work practices and procedures
- Maximize productivity for maintenance activity
- Plan and assign resources & procure materials for priority jobs.
- Make routine rounds in the field to monitor progress of ongoing jobs and minimize work delays.
- Work with plant focal points to ensure equipment is ready and permitting is timely.
- Communicate closely with the commissioning team and craftspeople to make accurate schedule updates.
- Verify that all scheduled job sequences are completed
- Verify that all work for the job is completed (i.e. paperwork)
- Reviews work status with service providers and originators and adjusts schedule as required.
- Assist and assure with Scheduler the allocation and optimization of resources
- Assure JSA and job briefings are being conducted for hazard identification
- Review job packages to make sure resources are scheduled for work execution
Required Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of experience in a Maintenance role.
- Working knowledge of the Global Maintenance Work Process and Global Turnaround Work Process.
- Current valid US drivers license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to communicate well, verbally and in writing, and have strong reading comprehension and listening skills.
- Able to communicate with a very diverse population which is spread across the site.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and show high initiative.
- A self-starter who is self-motivated and can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
- Able to work within an empowered team environment.
- Have a high regard for personal safety and the safety of others.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Stand 50% of the time.
- Walk for extended periods of time
- Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree or higher Maintenance, Instrumentation, Electronics or similar field.
- A certification in Pipefitting, Welding or similar field.
- Previous experience using SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
