About Us

Lassonde, Inc. is a leader in the juice manufacturing industry, dedicated to innovation, quality, and sustainability. Our Manufacturing team plays a critical role in managing projects related to efficiencies in the manufacturing processes. Lassonde is looking for a Manufacturing intern to join the team on a full-time basis (40 hours per week) for approximately 12 weeks.


Internship Overview

This internship offers hands-on experience in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, project management, and process improvement. The Manufacturing Intern will work closely with Manufacturing Operators, Mechanics, Supervisors and Managers to contribute to real-world projects and gain valuable industry knowledge.


Key Responsibilities

· Manage assigned projects for continuous improvement and performance enhancement.

· Employs TPM, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies to accomplish business objectives.

· Assists with development and review of specification sheets, CILs, Centerlines, and Standard Operating Procedures.

· Engages in Safety and Quality culture by active participation in meetings and investigations.

· Assists Production and Maintenance to achieve OEE, Yield, and Cost per Case goals by analyzing machine downtime, speeds, and waste.

· Participate in Factory strategy sessions to achieve organizational goals.

· Performs all other duties as assigned


Qualifications

· Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Data Analytics or an equivalent field.

· Passion for food and beverage innovation with a keen interest in product development.

· Basic knowledge of manufacturing techniques.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office settingand the ability to work in a production setting.


FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in the area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).


OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.


VISION: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.


HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines and exhaust fans.
