Pay Range for this position is: $168,000-$250,000 plus annual bonus, depending on experience and geographical location.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Director reports to the Sr. Director Engineering and can be remotely located or from the Cherry Hill office. This individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing a structured and high‑performing maintenance program on a national scale. This strategic role covers a network of manufacturing plants across the United States.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Design, structure, and implement an effective national maintenance program based on a thorough analysis of current practices and harmonization across sites.
- Establish an organizational structure that promotes a culture of maintenance excellence and supports overall operational objectives.
- Define, implement, and monitor relevant KPIs to measure and improve maintenance effectiveness nationwide.
- Conduct regular audits across sites to ensure compliance with internal standards, uniformity of practices, and achievement of expected results.
- Collaborate with plant managers and local technical teams to ensure equipment reliability, optimize interventions, and support production objectives.
- Oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Engage, supervise, and develop the skills of local maintenance teams, ensuring alignment with national standards and promoting best practices.
- Actively contribute to budget optimization, management of technical resources, and improvement of internal processes.
- Identify and Implement new technologies for detecting equipment wear to prevent future failure.
- Support the integration of technologies related to automation, robotics, predictive maintenance, and digital transformation.
- Ensure strict compliance with quality, health & safety, hygiene, and environmental regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (edit below as needed)
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree preferred
- 10 years packaging experience, preferably in the beverage industry
- 5 plus years of maintenance management experience
- Advanced knowledge of Hotfill and Aseptic manufacturing
- Knowledge of blow molding PET bottles
- Willingness to travel as needed (50% avg – 75%max)
- Good communication skills, particularly to Senior leadership
- Understand OSHA/FDA/USDA/EPA requirements in manufacturing
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule across all shifts to execute work as needed
- Competency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel and Word

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical manufacturing setting.
FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).
OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
VISION: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.
HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines and exhaust fans.
