Pay Range for this position is: $206,000-$310,000 plus annual bonus, depending on experience and geographical location. 



POSITION SUMMARY

Lassonde is seeking a seasoned FP&A professional to lead one of its business units. We are looking for a dynamic individual to support the General Manager in day-to-day decision-making. The Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis will report to the VP of FP&A and will be based at our Corporate Headquarters in Cherry Hill, NJ.

 


Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Leads the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis of the financial team.
  • Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Participates in the month close process.
  • Review analysis results and develop insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction, and strategic business decisions.
  • Key player in the Budgets, forecasts, long-range forecasts process by: 
    1. Overseeing the budgeting & forecasting process; Operating performance (Volume to EBIT), operating working capital and CapEx. 
    2. Assisting in (and from time to time leading) the formulation of “what if” scenarios in order to mitigate business risks and put in place contingency plans. 
  • Collaborate with Revenue management team to develop financial strategies and capabilities
  • Supporting the development of effective pricing, promotion and package strategies that optimize performance through margin management and trade spend disciplines. 
  • Maintain the balanced scorecard / KPIs / performance metrics; R&Os register; and detailed (long term) financial model(s).
  • Ensure performance variances to budget, to previous forecast and to prior periods are quantified and understood, explanations and recommendations are identified and follow up are performed to correct course.
  • Participate in various strategic development projects, as required.

 

  • Engage in all aspects of the day to day operations

  • Manage 1-3 employees
  • Communicates job expectations; planning, monitoring, and assessing job results; coaching, and counseling employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Establishes strategic goals; identifying and evaluating trends; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • At least ten years of experience in progressive positions 
  • Experience in consumer products
  • ERP systems knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university in accounting or similar field or commensurate experience
  • Knowledge of financial statements and the ability to research complex issues
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • The ability to think critically and independently
  • The ability to collaborate successfully with others in the organization
  • Strong ability to multi task
  • Effective written and oral communication skills 

 

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the food/beverage industry
  • MBA or advanced graduate degree is a plus
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.

 

FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.

 

OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.

 

VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.

 

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
