Job Summary

The Human Resources Business Support Specialist will assist with the planning, coordination and data integrity  of Human Resources (HR) programs while providing support to the Human Resources Department on workflow and processing issues. The Human Resources Business Support Specialist will audit data processed through normal entry (including interfaces, keying and workflow).  Additionally the HR Support Specialist will support the Unemployment process and Subpoena process by providing required documents and correspondence.

Minimum Qualifications

•Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
•Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years of Human Resources experience;
An additional 2 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience in addition to the minimum requirement of two years of HR experience
•Substitutable Education & Experience:  The additional 2 Years of related experience. and/or training can be substituted for an Associate's degree in HR, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in addition the minimum years of experience
•Required Certifications/Licensure:  None
•Required Training: Basic Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel;
Intermediate HRIS.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinates HR process flows in HRIS system and externally as necessary.  Data entry as well as  audits, processes approvals, and ensures timely and appropriate completion of requests.
  • Audits data, works with leaders and HR/Payroll to resolve errors/discrepancies, and processes adjustments.
  • Runs monthly reports, analyzes data, identifies trends, makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Audits transactional and  employee information to insure data integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supports all HR systems and processes in alignment with HR policies and strategies within the business unit that enable HR to achieve performance excellence.
  • Participates in the development of business cases to identify errors, user training needs and efficiency trends, and implement related improvements for core processes (Exit, Employees Files compliance, etc.). Assists in the development of functional process documents and the testing of new or changed processes.
  • Assists in Unemployment process and subpoena process, gathering required documentation for the HR department.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
