Job Summary
Assists Director in overseeing the day to day operations of Lexington Medical Centers Child Development Center ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the success of the CDC goals. Assists director with developing the childcare services program to meet the work/family issues of the employees of Lexington Medical Center. Responsible for providing administrative leadership in planning, enhancing and implementation of a clear curriculum vision for ages 6 weeks through 5 year olds. CDC manager is responsible for developing a coordinated and cooperative approach to childcare and education. Responsible for creating positive working relationships, and compliance with all applicable accreditation and regulatory standards.
Minimum QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Years of experience in staff management.
Substitutable Education & Experience: None.
Required Certifications/Licensure: CPR and First Aid certified (may be obtained within 90 days of hire date).
Required Training: Experience with needs assessment and educational program development from conception to maturation.
- Oversees all aspects of new enrollment including tours, visits, wait list, and managing enrollment material.
- Assists director with developing the childcare services program to meet the work/family issues of the employees of Lexington Medical Center.
- Evaluates employees fairly and equitably.
- Role models appropriate interactions and teaching techniques in the classroom. Is available to teaching staff as needed in the classrooms daily.
- Assists with monitoring and assuring the Quality Assessment and Improvement activities reflect adherence to established DSS standards of care.
- Assists with recruiting, selecting, and orienting staff for the Child Development Center.
- Oversees DSS training curriculum and ensures CDC staff meets annual training hours in conjunction with the Director.
- Schedules teaching staff to provide adequate AM and PM coverage.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
