Job Summary
Performs various tasks related to movement of supplies and equipment, case carts, equipment cleaning, stocking OR and Sterile Prep area and other related duties, to ensure that the OR and Sterile Processing Technicians have necessary supplies and time to perform sterile processing work.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Retrieves soiled instruments from clinical departments at regular intervals, following appropriate standards.
- Distributes and inventories Sterile Processing department specific supplies at regular intervals, following appropriate standards to the OR and within the Sterile Processing Dept.
- Answers phones and when appropriate assists callers in obtaining needed supplies and/or instruments (i.e. take items to the OR or L&D).
- Pulls items for case carts, delivers case carts to OR or L&D, instruments and other supplies to Operating Rooms as needed.
- Unloads cart washers as needed, drying items prior to being placed on carts for assembly.
- Moves equipment and carts as needed to maintain workflow and to clear traffic paths.
- Assists in maintaining and cleaning work surfaces and equipment to ensure safe work practices.
- Place instruments and supplies returned from OR's on appropriate shelf after being scanned into the computer system.
- Assists in restocking supplies in the Sterile Stores and Sterile Prep areas as assigned.
- Assists in performing inventory and stocking shelves as products arrive in the department.
- Assist in maintaining a clean work environment by cleaning specific equipment at set intervals.
- Demonstrates commitment to providing outstanding customer service in a manner reflective of our mission, values and customer service standards.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Compliance Accountability Program, Code of Ethics, and other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
