Overview
Mastercard is hiring a Director of Account Management to lead the Regional Retail (Merchant) team within the Retail & Commerce vertical. You and your team will be accountable for driving significant incremental revenue through the creation of strategic partnerships with regional and digital retail merchant partners that enable mutual success. This is a rare opportunity to work across both sides of payments technology—issuing and acceptance—engaging with a diverse portfolio of retail and digital players. In this client-facing role, you will also oversee an existing portfolio of partnerships, ensuring the team defends, optimizes, and generates new revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and capable of delivering results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

The Role
Strategic Account Management
•    Own and execute account strategies for regional and digital retail merchant partners to grow revenue and optimize partnerships.
•    Strengthen relationships with key partners and align global priorities with regional goals.
Business Development
•    Identify and unlock opportunities with top retail and digital partners to drive market share and revenue growth.
•    Partner with internal teams to deliver tailored, innovative solutions for clients.
Strategy Development
•    Define and implement strategies to grow Mastercard's footprint in the retail and digital merchant space across Asia Pacific.
•    Leverage market insights and competitive analysis to create data-driven strategies that address client needs and business goals.
Solution Development
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver solutions tailored to merchant pain points and growth objectives.
•    Drive the development of value propositions using Mastercard's products, services, and data-driven insights.
Technology Integration
•    Stay abreast of the latest technology trends in payments, retail, and digital commerce.
•    Adapt and integrate emerging technologies into strategies and solutions to meet evolving client needs and unlock new use cases.
P&L Ownership
•    Manage P&L for the retail and digital merchant segment, delivering profitable growth and high-value deals.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
•    Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing account management team.
•    Collaborate globally and regionally to align product and partner strategies.
