Title and Summary
Director, Account Management, Global Digital Merchants & Marketplaces Overview:Join an agile and high-performing team to grow Mastercard's business with a selected set of global digital merchants and marketplaces. This role is pivotal in accelerating our growth in payments and delivering services that improve security, enhance frictionless commerce experiences, and increase customer loyalty while executing Mastercard's strategic product roadmap. Global digital merchants and marketplaces play a key role in the development and commercialization of strategic products, making strong partnerships and close alignment on strategic priorities critical to the success of Mastercard and our clients.
You will report to the SVP Global Digital Merchants & Marketplaces, taking responsibility for all aspects of relationship management with our clients, including strategic planning, account management, new business development, building economic models, and negotiating deal terms to drive revenue growth and deploy strategically important products and services.
Role:
• Develop and manage a successful sales pipeline of new business initiatives that support Mastercard's strategy and goals.
• Drive business development opportunities and innovative commercial proposals to deliver increased revenue and market share.
• Defend and grow revenues through relationship management and commercialization of our product solutions, working with key Mastercard internal stakeholders.
• Identify business opportunities and needs and appropriately engage in the development of solutions (e.g., bundling and repositioning existing Mastercard assets and products) and commercialize new solutions in partnership with global and regional teams.
• Broaden relationships with client stakeholders to drive more strategic discussions and entrench the Mastercard brand.
• Construct deal terms and partnership/commercial agreements with potential partners and successfully negotiate deal terms in line with Mastercard's strategy.
• Push the organization to act as a global partner of the managed accounts and ensure global alignment on priority activities.

• Strong understanding of digital commerce trends and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
• Ability to navigate through large organizations and influence without direct authority.
• Ability to think outside the box and recognize the value of alternative thinking.
• Good communicator and influencer with strong negotiation skills.
• Comfortable in a multi-tasking environment with the ability to give clear direction to team and customers alike.
• Ability to build and maintain internal relationships with senior management and key stakeholders across the business, ensuring inter-regional alignment and gaining support for the strategic direction of the business. Pay Ranges
San Francisco, California: $172,000 - $275,000 USDApply on company website
