Title and Summary

Director, Business Development About:
The Digital Partnerships team is responsible for managing relationships with Digital Merchants & Fintech and Digital Platforms in South Asia across a range of verticals including Digital Merchants, Wallets & Device Mfrs., Marketplaces, Shared Economy & Aggregators, Media & Entertainment & Digital Giants & Fintech. Position reports to VP, Digital & Fintech, South Asia.
The key areas of responsibilities for the team are to build & deepen relationships with these entities & own and drive agreed strategic imperatives and business development initiatives across industry verticals.

Purpose of the Job:
Manages the assigned Digital Merchants, Fintech Partner Vertical/s with a focus on revenue by identifying and pursuing opportunities with new or existing Digital Partners & customers, growing Mastercard's share & revenue and solution penetration across multiple products and verticals.
Towards the above, developing, setting and driving engagement & business development strategies & actions aligned with Mastercard imperatives & customer verticals and segments.

Developing strong relationships and working rhythm with x-functional teams to achieve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Drives new business development by building and driving relationships for assigned vertical/country/division
• Plans and identifies partner specific opportunities- sales, revenue, and other targets
• Initiates conversations with key decision makers for existing, new or emerging product opportunities
• Develops sales strategies by vertical/ customers and segments Develops and presents financial modelling and business cases for opportunities
• Negotiates, executes and manages the customer contract agreement
• Delivers against KPI's – share, revenue, transactions, penetration
• Assist with analysis of the customer's business through profitability modelling, financial forecasting and competitive
• Collaborates with the cross functional team members and country teams to plan, execute and monitor progress against annual business plans.

All about you:
• Must have multiple years of Business Development experience in the India Digital & Fintech space and have managed revenue budgets of relevant scale.

• Proven consultative selling experience in B2B handling both strategy and execution.
• Established track record achieving quantitative targets and building business relationships.
• Powerful storytelling & effective senior level communication capabilities.
• Sound techno-commercial acumen and ‘inside' knowledge of key Digital vertical dynamics.
• Demonstrated success in introducing existing and new/emerging Digital/Fintech solutions into various markets/segments and driving increased penetration with clients.
• Master's degree/ PGDBM in Business
