Overview
The Hungarian and Slovenian Cluster is looking for a dynamic, agile, and innovative, product and business development professional to join its Product Business Development area. It is responsible for such pioneering developments as mobility services (including public transport), money move solutions and new payment experience.
Building on the strong existing products and business relationships we drive innovations by launching new products and services, adopting business models while meeting and overcoming our customer ever changing requirements and expectations.
You will be part of a curious, diverse, and dynamic team consisting of business leaders, product managers, technical experts, and consultants.

Role
The Director of Product Business Development will be responsible for the strategic and business development of the following areas in Hungary and Slovenia:

•Mobility Services: Mastercard aims making transport more convenient with accessible payment solutions, giving riders the confidence and control to travel. Mobility services enables advanced and multichannel transit payments as well as innovative ticketing solutions in public, private and automotive services to provide a seamless transit experience.

•Transfer Solutions: enable high priority payment flows including disbursements, remittances and bill pay to multiple payment instruments like bank accounts, mobile wallets, and cards across markets. Program Participants (banks, businesses, digital players and more) can modernize the way they send money, domestically and cross-border, making funds available to recipients.

•New Payment experience: the appetite for, and adoption of, new payment technologies is rising. This area aims to explore and identify new opportunities (e.g.: Open Banking) while modernizing the payment market by providing a comprehensive, consistent set of digital functionalities across the entire consumer journey.

Key Responsibilities
•You are going to lead the Products and New Payment platforms area, responsible for meeting business targets and KPIs.
•Develop, recommend, and execute country wide business strategies (based on market insights) that drive innovation and business development.
•Drive new business opportunities in Products and Payments (working with banks, merchants, public transport operators, service providers) by addressing customer needs and pain points, co-develop solutions with clients, while leveraging Mastercard products and solutions.
•Grow revenues by identifying and pursuing opportunities with new or existing customers for deployment of emerging payment methods and development of new business verticals.
•Sets product sales strategies aligned with regional and country strategy while being responsible for pipeline management.
•Play a lead role in conversations with key decision makers for new or emerging product opportunities.
•Evaluate business cases, new business models, agreements, and partnerships to strengthen our solution's footprint and competitiveness.
•Own and execute key initiatives in collaboration with internal (account management, product, marketing, operations) and external stakeholders (issuers, acquirers, and merchants) to deliver target outcomes.
•Collaborate with local account management teams, the European regional business development team, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities, select prospects, and achieve sales targets.

All About You
•University degree holder (MBA, MSc or equivalent) with 10+ years of experience either in Business Development or Consulting.
•Strong interest in innovations of financial services with eagerness to lead and support initiatives in commercial and non-banking space.
•Track record in development and deployment of new products and services and building customer relationships, with special focus on electronic payments.
•Experience in working with banks, retailers, merchants, transit operators across different industries is an advantage.
•Ability to collaborate and influence internally and externally to drive outcomes while taking on responsibility for a full work streams and new projects.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in teams and an international matrix environment.
•Results driven, eager to learn and understand new technologies and innovations and see where they can be used effectively to achieve goals and targets.
•Advanced English and Hungarian are must haves.
