Mastercard's Dispute Management solutions aim to solve consumer disputes and improve the payment experiences for consumers, issuers and merchants. With more digital transactions, the need to manage chargebacks is becoming increasingly important. We aim to improve purchase transparency and simplify the dispute process to protect business revenues and grow customer satisfaction.
The Lead Developer is an important member of our software development teams here at Mastercard. The role leads software engineering projects and creates the development and delivery of enhanced software solutions, research alternative technical solutions for changing business needs, and is responsible for assuring the daily activities of the team meet the requirements of SLA's.
Role
This role involves working with a team of talented developers to develop high-performance, high-volume solutions.
You will be responsible for:
Designing and implementing Java-based capabilities for the Program.
Develop high-quality, secure, scalable and maintainable software solutions.
Apply best practices for automated testing, automated code quality, automated delivery & automated monitoring.
Mentor the senior & junior engineers on your team through sound technical advice, UML documentation & code reviews
Collaborate with Architects, Leads, Developers & Product Owners to ensure business value is delivered in a timely manner
Advocating Mastercard Engineering Principles, Builders' Enablement development standards, and Corporate Security guidelines
Act as Subject Matter Expert for one or more initiatives to deliver an efficient and secure SDLC in Mastercard from the initial ideation to production deployment
Work as part of a cross-functional and geographically distributed team to make our developer experience awesome

• Ensure that the team adheres to Mastercard Engineering Principles, Builders Enablement Development standards, and Corporate Security guidelines

All About You
Proficiency in OOP/OOAD with Java JDK 11 or higher
Knowledge of Tomcat, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, REST microservices architecture.
Experience with SQL, Multi-threading, Message Queuing & Distributed Systems
Experience with Design Patterns and Enterprise Integration Patterns
Experience with one or more Cloud platforms with a good working knowledge of availability zones, regions, security, Cloud APIs, virtual networking, and the capabilities and offerings of the various providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, and GCP)
Expertise in Junit or other automated unit testing frameworks
Knowledge of Splunk or other alerting and monitoring solutions
Fluent in the use of Git, Jenkins
Ability to define & implement best practices regarding Continuous Delivery / Deployment pipelines.
Good working knowledge of container technologies
Experience working in a regulated environment with secure software development practices (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR)
Experience in performance testing with JMeter, Gatling and similar tools
Experience automating processes to improve developer efficienc
