Mastercard software engineering teams leverage Agile development principles, advanced development and design practices, and an obsession with security, reliability, and performance to deliver solutions that delight our customers. We are looking for talented software engineers to develop advanced technologies and applications that are revolutionizing payments.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable, and high-performing applications using modern technologies.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and architectural oversight to ensure engineering best practices across the team.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Drive quality through test-driven development, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and a culture of learning within the team.
All About You:
-Proficient in Java (Java 8+), Spring/Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
- Skilled in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or PCF, with strong knowledge of cloud-native design and infrastructure
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, OOA/OOD, and system-level thinking
- Experience with test-driven development, automated testing frameworks, and tools like Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle
- Strong grasp of databases (Oracle/SQL), ORM frameworks (Hibernate), and web technologies
- Ability to develop low-level designs, review team code, and enforce high standards in code quality and security
- Comfortable working in Agile environments such as Scrum or SAFe, with an iterative, value-driven mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to align teams, influence stakeholders, and represent engineering in strategic discussions
