Your Role in 30 Seconds:
As the Manager Account Management (and Business Development) Fintech, you will be part of a team developing our Fintech and Banking-as-a-Service Customer Segment in Czech Republic and Slovakia, with a specific focus on Czech Republic.
This role involves managing existing Fintech customers who want to expand on a Product or Geographic level but also finding and winning new Fintech customers in the B2B and B2B segment. Your goals will include maintaining as well as cross- and upselling to existing clients, building solutions and strategies, and signing new key customers and partners for these Fintech verticals. You should be a self-starter with a technological mindset and a willingness to go the extra mile to create compelling payment solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships between external stakeholders (Fintechs and Banking-as-a-Service Providers as well as PSPs, merchants, payment technology enablers) and internal teams (in-market and central) to deliver on all objectives.
• Maintain existing business relationships and manage day-to-day customer situations including operational as well as commercial topics
• Identify and win new Fintech customers based on strategic framework - identify a pipeline of Fintech customers that can be addressed with existing and emerging solutions and products.
• Identify key trends and innovative projects. Actively identify trends that shape the environment we operate in, driven by technology, changing business models, and consumer expectations.
• Develop compelling solutions that address target customer needs. Partner with Customer Solution Architects and Product teams to deliver superior value to customers and contribute to Mastercard's financial success.
• Understand key financials and financial modelling principals and create management presentations and pitch decks
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in the same or adjacent field
• Experience in a fast-paced, technology-centric environment, including payments, e-commerce, retail, financial services, and/or consulting.
• Fluency in English and Czech; additional language knowledge is a plus.
• Curiosity, can-do attitude, agility, creativity, and a real team player.
• Results-oriented and customer-focused self-starter.
• Proven ability to develop sustainable business relationships in diverse environments and a track record of successful sales.
• Strong communication skills and ability to act in a matrix environment.
• Strategic thinking, ability to understand and execute on key operational aspects, and attention to detail.
• Business acumen with the ability to create solutions that meet real customer needs.
• Track record of relationship management, business development, and negotiation skills.
• Based in Czechia (Prague Office) with a willingness to travel.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills a must
