Title and Summary

Manager, Accounting Overview:
Corporate Accounting is predominately responsible for management reporting of consolidated results, external SEC reporting, technical accounting and oversight of business units and regional accounting teams, and projects that support financial processes across the organization.

Role:
Responsibilities will include:
• Preparation and analysis of monthly consolidated long sheets (actuals vs forecast) for Senior management.
• Preparation of Non-GAAP and GAAP supporting schedules in connection with the earnings release and 10Q/10K Filings
• Preparation of quarterly earnings release and earnings presentation
• Preparation of income statement and expense schedules for senior management as part of quarterly earnings preparation
• Assist with preparation and review of 10-Q/K filings.
• Perform analytical analysis on monthly and quarterly expenses.
• Oversee maintenance of the Company's chart of accounts and ensure proper account classification of expenses
• Interact with shared service center on accounting and reporting related issues
• Perform annual segment reporting and goodwill impairment assessments
• Preparation of the benefit plan financial statements and Form 5500 filings.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting, special projects & queries
• Assist internal and external auditors – at both group and local levels, as needed
• Maintains a strong external control environment

All About You:
• BS in Accounting required
• CPA (completed or in progress) required
• Public accounting background preferred
• The ideal candidate is fast-paced, highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented who demonstrates the sense of urgency and business acumen to deliver results within a global, growing and profitable business.
• Ability to work independently and in groups to complete time-sensitive projects with internal and external deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. A team player with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Hyperion Smartview a plus. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
