Title and Summary

Manager, Analytics & Metrics Overview:

The Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) Analytics and Automation team is built upon strong contributors with leadership abilities, innovative mindsets and with strong business and technical acumen. The team acts as an idea incubator supporting various GBSC initiatives by providing in-depth analysis and strategic guidance. The team identifies ways to leverage data for answering business questions and driving operational efficiency. We innovate using new age technologies and data analysis techniques to discover actionable insights and communicate data in new and more effective ways for influencing business decisions, encouraging long-term customer engagement, improving processes and productivity, and overall evolving the way we do business.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytics Team Manager to lead our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, visualization, team management, and strategic planning. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to enhance business performance and drive decision-making processes.

Technology stack
• Our current primary tools for data analysis, data preparation and information delivery: Alteryx, Tableau & MS Power Platform
• Core database environments: Oracle, MS SQL Server

Role:
• Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Supervise multiple analytics projects and initiatives within GBSC and Mastercard
• Identify, design and implement data and process automation solutions to support GBSC Operations and the global organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data models, databases, and reporting systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by implementing best practices in data management and governance.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of analytics initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team and across the organization.
• Contribute to strengthening a motivated, innovative and productive team that creates next generation analytics for the shared services center and Mastercard.
• Work closely with analytics community of practice and internal stakeholders for short-term and long-term objective alignment.

All About You:
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, or any other related field. An equivalent of this requirement in working experience is also acceptable for the position
• Candidate should possess professional experience in a data consultant role, including in a leadership capacity. Experience in a fast-paced financial services environment is highly preferred. High proficiency in Alteryx and Tableau
• High proficiency in data preparation/ETL
• Strong knowledge of SQL; ability to write, execute and optimize performance of complex queries
• Full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productizing and maintenance of analytics products;
• Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to apply data to discover and solve business challenges and questions;
• Problem solving mentality, resourcefulness and creativity in identifying solutions;
• Candidate should have demonstrated experience in people leadership, with a proven track record of effectively managing a high-performing teams
• Knowledge of basic statistical analysis techniques and data mining methodologies. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
