Overview
The Customer Solutions Center (CSC) is a strategic structure designed to accelerate Mastercard's ability to deliver tailored solutions and bundles for prioritized customer segments across markets. As Regional Product Manager – Consumer Segment, you will serve as the key product expert and business partner for the consumer portfolio across North & Francophone Africa.
Your role is to support business development teams with deep product expertise, drive portfolio optimization, and enable market adoption of Mastercard's consumer solutions. You will act as a bridge between global product teams and local markets, ensuring that solutions are relevant, impactful, and aligned with client needs.
Role
Act as an expert for their geography/solution portfolio:
• Bring their deep knowledge of products, services or platform capabilities to a solution-selling environment
• Accountable for having a deep understanding of the assigned product, service or platform
• Provide visibility to the CSC lead and Solution Architect on latest product developments within their purview and communicate accurate solution knowledge to tackle client opportunities
• Proactively monitor and engage with customers to ensure customer success and benefit from Mastercard's products and solutions
Support CSC value proposition development and sale:
• Provide the Solution Architects (SA) and the CSC Lead with your solution expertise in crafting the value proposition
• Coordinate with the help of SA and CSC Lead, with other sales specialists in developing an end-to end value proposition
• Provide their expertise and deep knowledge of product implementation and success with clients during solution selling process (upon the request of the CSC Lead or AM/BD)
Drive localization, market enablement and support sales:
• Enabling new capabilities in the market new consumer use cases, Digital user experience
• Collaborate with BD teams to identify opportunities for portfolio growth and product penetration.
• Participate in client meetings to provide product insights, solution recommendations, and implementation guidance.
• Assist in crafting tailored value propositions and solution bundles for key consumer segments. Work directly with client counterparts on non-complex, one solution focused opportunities when the AM needs their support
Knowledge and best practice sharing:
• Share market intelligence, client feedback, and consumer trends with global product teams to inform roadmap decisions.
• Collaborate with other regional product managers and solution specialists to exchange best practices and drive consistency.
• Contribute to internal knowledge platforms and forums to elevate product understanding across the organization.
All About You
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus
Knowledge /Experience:
• Solid experience in product management, business development, or client-facing roles within financial services or fintech.
• Strong understanding of consumer segments and payment behaviors in North & Francophone Africa.
Skills/ Abilities:
• Deep knowledge of consumer payment products and digital solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Collaborative and agile, able to work across functions and geographies.
• Ability to collaborate and work on internal squads created to develop end-to-end solutions for clients with multiple MA capabilities i.e. products, services or platforms
• Clear ability to problem solving and understand relationship with the client's needs
• Strong communication skills
