Title and Summary

Manager, Real Estate Services (Supply Chain Sustainability) Overview:
The position will be based in the Environmental Sustainability department, serving as the lead for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive net zero sustainability strategy. This role will focus on engagement and collaboration projects within the supply chain, particularly in Marketing (sponsorships, media, production), loyalty program suppliers, and professional services.

Reporting to the Director of Environmental Sustainability, the Supply Chain Sustainability Program Manager will be responsible for supporting companywide ESG goals and frameworks for Scope 3 Supply Chain. This key role will drive operational excellence by closely partnering with primary stakeholders, internal teams, and external SMEs to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, collaborate on the approach, design, and execution of the strategy for the supply chain to reduce GHG emissions. Providing expertise and actionable insights on sustainability topics, including but not limited to, ESG data and overall impact, emission reduction methodology, supplier engagement scope of work, sustainability ambition and target setting, supply chain collaboration initiatives, and sustainability strategy development.

Role:
•Serve as the main point of contact of the Environmental Sustainability team Marketing (sponsorships, media, production), loyalty program suppliers, and professional services to lead and execute the scope 3 supply chain environmental sustainability collaboration strategy
•Develop, implement, execute, promote and monitor a sustainable supply chain strategy and model to reduce supply chain GHG emissions specific to the supplier industry segment
•Partner with the business stakeholders to lead engagement with supply chain partners to identify gaps and create solutions that are replicable, scalable, and aligned with the ESG sustainability goals
•Delivering on the supply chain SBT workstreams, from carbon footprint baseline year calculations to carbon reduction forecasting/pathways and submission to the CDP survey
•Manage collaboration projects with supply chain partners and internal business unit leaders to determine best practices and identify emissions reduction opportunities, while serving as an internal SME
•Develop and execute strategic and actionable plans by establishing a baseline and roadmap to effectively manage supply chain sustainability initiatives, goals, and performance targets
•Partner with the Marketing, Communications and Corporate Sustainability functions to develop and support methodologies and detailed scopes of work for policies, contracts, training materials, etc. •Responsible for the development, implementation, updates/revisions, and communication of process guidelines and best practices playbook
•Conduct research to identify environmental and sustainability concerns, interests, updates and issues
•Maintain current working knowledge of and ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and global environmental laws and regulations
•Cultivate relationships with key suppliers, external consultants, and third-party organizations to develop strategic partnerships and drive internal and external engagement
•Support internal stakeholders to drive effective collaboration to assure sustainability is appropriately integrated into partner engagements, and that opportunities are properly vetted and prioritized

All About You:
•Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy, Sustainable Business, Sustainable Technology, or a related subject
•Deep knowledge of the GHG Protocol and Scope 3 standards
•Progressive experience in strategic planning and project management of global sustainability projects
•Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a high-volume and complex environment with changing priorities, while meeting deadlines under pressure

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Purchase, New York: $122,000 - $190,000 USD Chicago, Illinois: $106,000 - $165,000 USD
