Title and Summary
Manager, Risk Management DescriptionThe Governance Risk and Control team (1st Line Risk Management) seeks a Risk Governance and Framework and Control Manager to design, support, embed, and maintain 1st Line Risk governance based on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology. The role includes risk reporting, policy and process documentation, facilitating, providing advice, guidance, and building strong partnerships within the Risk structure and with internal/external stakeholders.
Role
• Support the development and maintenance of 1st Line Risk Governance, Infrastructure, and Tools required for the Risk Management Framework
• Perform a risk assessment by analyzing current and potential risks affecting the company.
• Support the design and implementation of remediation plans following risk identification.
• Act as project manager for 1st Line Risk projects and support the design and implementation of 1st Line control validation activity planning."
• Perform event-driven risk assessments such as incident, root cause, and other ad-hoc assessments as required by the business.
• Maintain and update the 1st Line Risk Management methodology and process documentation in line with regulatory requirements, Mastercard Risk, Regulated Business Entities, and current industry good practices, including risk appetite, Key Risk Indicators, risk assessment, and risk incident and event management.
• Support and facilitate the rollout of the Risk Management Framework components, including risk appetite, risk management policies and processes, Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), and risk management culture.
• Support and facilitate the development and rollout of risk tooling, working and aligning with other business entities.
• Support the Director of Governance Risk and Control and Group Functions Risk Management in developing a process to identify and record emerging risks and guide scenario analysis in line with Mastercard Risk.
Qualifications:
• Good knowledge of risk management principles and 3LoD interrelationships
• Knowledge of good risk governance requirements
• Recent experience with Risk Management Tools
• Understanding and experience in financial services risk and compliance frameworks and standards
• Excellent communication skills, using all relevant channels and resources effectively and proactively
• Teamwork skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
• Strong discipline regarding accuracy and quality of output
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
