Title and Summary

Manager, Treasury Systems & Strategy Overview:

Mastercard is rapidly expanding its cross-border and cross-currency capabilities. The cross-border Treasury team at Mastercard is seeking an experienced, high performing candidate for the position of Manager, Treasury Systems and Strategy based in Purchase, NY. The ideal candidate has a consulting or process optimization background, sharp analytical skills and the confidence to collaborate cross-functionally, challenge assumptions, and shape direction on high-impact initiatives, The candidate can quickly comprehend complex payment workflows, products, and systems and visualize these in easy to understand diagrams and presentations. The candidate is able to lead payment, Treasury, and FX market related discussions, develop and present executable options to enhance or implement new workflows and systems.

Role:
• Support executive reporting and analysis efforts for the Treasury function, including the development and tracking of KPIs that measure liquidity, FX performance, and funding strategies.
• Create executive-level presentations to visualize complex operational workflows and high-level, simplified system processes
• Create executive-level presentations to summarize current and proposed future state processes and system infrastructure to represent Treasury plans or seek business approvals
• Act as a subject matter expert in cross-functional projects and discussions, offering FX and Treasury insights that inform broader business decisions.
• Maintain and enhance desk policies and procedures, striving for a high level of automation.
• Engage proactively with key stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Sales teams to align pricing and risk strategies with business objectives.
• Continuously improve treasury infrastructure, including processes, tools, and analytics platforms ensuring alignment with internal risk policies, external regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
• Demonstrate executive presence and sound judgment—comfortable bringing forward ideas and defending perspectives with data and clarity.
• Define rates to support pricing of the cross-border business.
• Support the implementation and testing of Treasury Management Systems.

All About You:
• Bachelor's in finance, accounting, economics or similar degree; MBA or CFA a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly experienced and skilled in PowerPoint, delivering presentations and engaging with senior leadership.
• Experienced with MS Excel and MS Visio.
• Proven track record of prioritizing work and managing multiple projects, in addition to daily workload.
• Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
• Ability to manage high volume of diverse tasks under short timelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to successfully drive and integrate change; cultivate a continuous improvement culture.
• Strong leadership abilities, with experience in guiding cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Prior FX risk management, corporate treasury, accounting, or financial planning experience.
• Prior experience evaluating trading and risk management systems a plus.
• Experience in designing, programming, and/or managing pricing and risk management algorithms or processes is a plus. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Purchase, New York: $137,000 - $218,000 USD
