Title and Summary

Managing Consultant, Services Business Development Overview:

The Services Business Development team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast across EEMEA, this agile team is responsible for shaping and executing the next phase of Mastercard Services growth. Centered on data-driven technologies, strategic consulting, and innovation, these services include payments-focused consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, security and cyber solutions, and data-driven information and risk management services.



The EEMEA Services Strategy team plays a critical role in designing and enabling the 5-year Services strategy, including the “Bridge to 2029” roadmap and scaling our three strategic big bets. This team partners closely with regional leadership and global functions to define ambition, embed operational excellence, and track progress against enterprise-shaping priorities.



Role:

The Managing Consultant, Services Business Development, will report directly to the EEMEA Services Strategy Head and work on critical high-impact topics that shape the future of Services across the region. This is a highly visible and demanding role, with direct exposure to senior regional and global executives, including the EEMEA Services EVP.



The successful candidate will work side-by-side with the Strategy Head (Chief of Staff to the EVP), with a clear developmental path to step into future chief of staff responsibilities. The role requires strong consulting and analytical skills, excellent business storytelling and presentation capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities:

Partner directly with the EEMEA Services Strategy Head to enable, drive, and track execution of the 5-year Services strategy and the three strategic big bets.
Lead problem solving and business analysis on high-impact strategic priorities, providing structured insights and recommendations for regional leadership.
Support the design and execution of operational excellence initiatives to drive efficiency, discipline, and impact across the business.
Develop and maintain executive-level materials (presentations, dashboards, strategy documents) that effectively communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Act as a thought partner to the Strategy Head, with a strong learning and coaching mindset.
Prepare and present business cases and analyses, leveraging data and analytics to influence decision-making.
Actively contribute to building a performance-driven, collaborative, and innovative team culture.


All About You:

Strong academic background: MBA preferred; bachelor's/master's in engineering, management, or economics from a top university.
4–6 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or business development roles (payments/financial services exposure preferred).
Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills; expert in Excel and PowerPoint; strong knowledge of data analysis and analytics tools.
Excellent business storytelling and presentation skills; able to simplify complexity and communicate with impact to senior executives.
Strategic mindset with ability to balance big-picture thinking and detail orientation.
Open to learning, highly coachable, and comfortable working in a demanding, high-visibility environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
Ambition to grow into a Chief of Staff role with direct exposure to regional executive leadership.
