Overview
Infrastructure Design Services is a team of Technology Architects and Engineers responsible for the analysis and design of the infrastructure framework to fit the application, platform or system needs in-line with MasterCard's operational, scalability, and availability standards and principles.

Role
• Serve as the principal infrastructure design authority, providing architectural leadership across multiple programs and platforms to ensure scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure solutions.
• Accountable for end-to-end technical outcomes, shaping infrastructure strategy, standards, and long-term architecture decisions across the organization.
• Lead the design and governance of complex infrastructure architecture, producing and reviewing technical designs (e.g., TADs, deployment models, dependency mappings) that enable reliable, repeatable, and secure deployments across environments.
• Collaborate with security, network, and platform architecture teams to ensure designs are secure-by-design, compliant, and aligned to enterprise and Zero Trust standards.
• Act as a technical mentor and design reviewer, providing guidance, feedback, and quality oversight across infrastructure designs.

All About You
• Deep, multi-domain expertise across enterprise infrastructure and platform technologies including compute, storage, virtualization, networking, security, containers, and operating systems, with a strong focus on automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or similar).
• Proven ability to design complex distributed systems, translating business and platform requirements into scalable, secure, and repeatable infrastructure architectures.
• Broad technical authority across infrastructure domains including networking, firewalls, security controls, identity, platform services, and automation frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience influencing enterprise architecture decisions, driving standards and patterns that enable reliable, automated platform deployments.
• Strong cross-organizational collaboration skills, partnering with product, platform engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions at scale.
• Recognized technical leader and mentor, actively contributing to the Infrastructure Design Engineering guild through knowledge sharing, design reviews, and technical guidance.
• Experience operating within highly regulated, security-focused enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. (preferred)
