Title and Summary

Product Manager Technical - Open Banking Europe Overview:
Product Managers Technical (PMTs) working on Mastercard's Open Banking platform play a key role in the development and maintenance of the products that secure high-quality connectivity to banks across Europe. Building on the strong foundation of our state-of-the-art bank connectivity APIs, we create turn-key solutions that take the burden of handling account information and payment initiation services from customers. This allows them to focus on building great products that leverage the full potential of the Open Banking standard.

Role:
PMTs in Open Banking work at the bleeding edge of account information and payment initiation technologies, often solving problems that have yet to be tackled within the industry in areas such as API security, data accessibility, processing, and analysis. You will join a group of highly skilled individuals working together as a team to push the limits of what is possible with Open Banking.
You will have many colleagues across different countries, with your nearest peers being located primarily in Denmark, Ireland, and Poland.

About You:
We are looking for motivated individuals eager to be part of a newly formed team composed of both industry veterans and newcomers. What we all have in common is the understanding that in order to achieve great things, working together as a team is essential.
Your role in the project will involve liaising between the Engineering and Product organisations to ensure the team lands on clear, accurate requirements, enabling Engineering to do their best and most efficient work. As a full-time member of the Engineering team, you'll be instrumental in facilitating, organising, and moderating key ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Stakeholder Management: Effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to understand needs, manage expectations, and communicate progress.
• Leadership Without Authority: Influence your teams and stakeholders to create positive outcomes, driving alignment and fostering collaboration.
• Project & Product Management: Beyond traditional project management, you will be responsible for managing shifting priorities, new opportunities, and navigating constant change. You'll provide direction at the enterprise level to ensure both short-term goals and long-term strategies are aligned and achievable.
• Technical Knowledge: While you don't need to be an engineer, a solid understanding of technical concepts is essential. The ideal candidate will have a technical background that allows them to understand abstract concepts and contribute to discussions, ideally more than the bare minimum.
• Communication & Culture: We are looking for a person with a positive, can-do attitude, who thrives on collaboration and challenges the status quo constructively. You should be comfortable giving and receiving feedback, fostering a culture of open communication, and maintaining a supportive and productive team environment.

Experience with industry-leading project management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and Aha is a plus.
A passion for problem-solving and delivering solutions to complex challenges is a must.
