Title and Summary

Senior Analyst, Finance Business Partner Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Analyst, Finance Business Partner to support technology investment decisioning across Mastercard. This role provides analytical, modeling, and data support across both strategic finance business cases and advanced analytics initiatives.

The Senior Analyst will support the team to build and maintain financial models, perform analysis, support business case development, and improve data quality and process efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and eager to learn how technology, data, and financial modeling come together to support high-quality investment decisions in a global environment.

This role is well suited for a strong individual contributor who thrives in an execution-focused role, enjoys working with data and models, and wants to build a strong foundation in technology finance and analytics.

Role
• Build, update, and maintain financial models supporting technology investment business cases.
• Perform scenario, sensitivity, and driver-based analysis under guidance from Finance Managers.
• Translate engineering, product, and infrastructure inputs into structured financial assumptions and outputs.
• Support the preparation of business case materials for governance forums and leadership reviews.
• Assist in maintaining model hygiene, documentation, and version control to ensure auditability.
• Refresh models regularly to reflect latest actuals, forecasts, and roadmap updates.
• Support standardized templates, modeling frameworks, and intake processes.
• Assist with data extraction, cleansing, and validation across multiple source systems.
• Support analytics and automation initiatives, including dashboards, reports, and repeatable analyses.
• Identify data inconsistencies, assumption gaps, and process improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Finance, Technology, and Product teams to gather inputs and clarify assumptions.
• Summarize analysis into clear, concise outputs.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities related to technology investments and operating expenses.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on data quality, modeling consistency, and process efficiency.

All About You
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience in financial analysis, FP&A, business case support, or analytics-focused roles.
• Strong Excel skills with experience building structured financial models.
• Exposure to analytics, visualization, or automation tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Python, Domo, Anaplan, or similar.
• Comfort working with detailed data, assumptions, and multi-input models.
• Strong attention to detail and disciplined approach to model accuracy.
• Ability to follow structured guidance while independently managing assigned analyses.
• Interest in learning how technology platforms, architecture, and infrastructure drive financial outcomes.
• Experience working with cross-functional partners preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
