Overview
Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.
Supporting the Mastercard Cyber and Security Services program, members of this team have an opportunity to build new and extend current fraud prevention services. This exciting area within Mastercard is growing fast and creating cutting edge technologies that prevent fraud across the globe.
This is an agile team that will be balanced across full stack engineering and data engineering. The team will also provide leadership for other teams in using strong architecture and technology delivery practices that create the best solutions.

Role
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements, transform them into clear user stories, and define acceptance criteria within an Agile framework.
• Automation of build, deployment, and operational processes to streamline and enhance software delivery.
• Continuously expand your technical knowledge, always seeking to improve systems and find innovative solutions.
• Perform demos and acceptance discussions, working closely with Product Owners to ensure alignment.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
• Build and enhance applications using technologies like Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Ensure high-quality code by maintaining thorough unit tests.
• Work closely with testers and engineers to ensure that requirements are fully met and thoroughly tested.
All About You
• Extensive experience with Java development, including design patterns, threading, debugging, unit testing, and using Spring Boot.
• Skilled in REST service design and development.
• Comfortable working with data analysis and using data to drive solutions.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment, and are proactive and detail-oriented in your work.
• Takes initiative, highly motivated, and always eager to learn and grow in your role.
• Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams.
• Proficient with SQL and comfortable working with databases.
• Some experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like Angular or React.
• Comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and engaging in open communication through tools like Teams or Slack.
