Mastercard Digital Labs is a rapid-prototyping, piloting, and innovation design services team, working with Mastercard's global customer base of Fortune 500 companies, spanning all aspects of global commerce.

Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Product Experience Designer to join our team. In this role you will be a key member of a highly agile and expert team of engineers and creatives working to build conceptual prototypes and quick-to-market test & learn pilots. You will create rich, engaging experiences to bring highly conceptual ideas to life. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a world-class innovation team, dynamically solving real-world customer problems, and delivering transformational product and service solutions focused on globally trending topics and issues.

Role
• In this role you create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs in Figma and equivalent tools.
• Occasionally travel with a team of engineers and creatives to deliver innovation events at client sites across Asia Pacific, and occasionally internationally. (This job requires 15-20% travel. Willingness to travel is a must, and a desire to travel is a plus.)
• For each event, you'll work to understand the client and their customer, the problem to be solved, and decide on the best design approach. You'll be responsible for creating sketches, flows, wireframes, visuals, and/or hi-fidelity prototypes as needed to collaboratively design with the client and the Digital Labs team.
• When not traveling, your days will be a mix of preparing for upcoming events by researching and prepping materials, and closing completed events by making final changes to the deliverables.
• In addition to these innovation events, you will also support longer-term engagements such as detailed design iterations and prototyping for concept and user experience testing, as well as pilot and production builds.

Desired experience and skills:
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably with mobile applications or within a mobile-first environment.
• A strong portfolio with compelling and intuitive interfaces showcasing mobile app designs, web designs, user flows, and UX processes.
• Experience in creating and/or using a variety of design artifacts, for example personas, journey maps, user flows, scenarios, storyboards, sketches, and wireframes.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent design tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working closely with developers and product owners and ability to help drive consensus amongst differing viewpoints.
• Ability to work quickly and independently, and to accept feedback, direction, and shifting priorities.
• Experience with design thinking or other innovation/user experience design and ideation methodologies and techniques. (Experience facilitating design exercises a plus.)
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of banking or financial products and services is a plus.
• Experience in both start-up and corporate environments is a plus.
• Experience with print design, illustration, and/or visual identity is a strong plus.

Others:
• Willingness to travel (20%)
• Ensure all projects are completed on time, on budget and to world class standards.
• Proven ability to work on your own initiative and deliver results.
• Continuous learning and building capabilities in rapid prototyping.

NOTE: Candidates go through a thorough screening and interview process. There is no need to include all preferred skills in the job description.
