Overview
As consumer preference for digital payments continues to grow, ensuring a seamless and secure consumer experience is top of mind. The Digital Transformation and Optimization (DTO) team is responsible for optimizing and monetizing the value of Mastercard's Consumer Solutions through a data-driven approach & product and network thinking.
The Optimization Solutions team, part of the DTO organization, focuses on improving digital authorization performance globally through optimizing existing & building new Mastercard solutions.
As a Senior Specialist in the Optimization Solutions team, you will support the optimization efforts to improve authorization performance for top digital merchants and acquirers worldwide. Primary responsibilities include performing data analysis on large data sets, delivering data-driven insights and recommendations, building reporting solutions to track performance, and partnering across the organization to drive product adoption. You will also support the development of new products and enhance existing solutions by working closely with global product teams and regional leads. An ideal candidate should have strong data analytical skills, an understanding of the payments landscape, strategic thinking to drive insights from the data, and strong storytelling skills to communicate the findings.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Global Optimization team to analyze data to identify trends, patterns, issues, and anomalies in large volumes of digital authorization data to derive insights across products, markets, and regions.
Monitor top digital merchant and issuer authorization performance in detail, provide regular reports, create best practices, and advise regional teams in their optimization efforts.
Develop a deep understanding of Mastercard products and solutions to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Present findings to various internal and external stakeholders in a more digestible format by highlighting big-impact opportunities and partner with them on the implementation of the recommendations
Contribute to the development of analytics strategies and data solutions by leveraging data and technologies.
Coordinate across cross-functional teams to drive product adoption, solve challenges, and ensure continuous product enhancement.
Assist in monitoring progress on all engagements and partner with Account Management, Product, and Customer Delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
All about You
3-5 years of business experience with a proven track record in data analytics, product management, or consulting
Experience in data analytics, data management, data mining, data reporting, data product development, and quantitative analysis
Strong analytical skills with a track record of translating data into compelling insights and developing a storyline for internal and external presentations
Strong knowledge of the payment industry, digital commerce strategies, best practices, and trends related to authorization, authentication, transaction routing, fraud, and chargebacks
Proficiency in SQL, Python, Hadoop, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, and related analytics tools and experience running analysis on large datasets
Strong communication & presentation skills
Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team environment.
Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and accuracy
