Title and Summary

Senior Specialist, Products and Solutions, Consumer Overview

The Consumer Solutions team focuses on creating and executing strategies in driving overall transaction volume, market share and profitable revenue growth for Mastercard in Southeast Asia focusing on Consumer portfolios and initiatives. As part of the SEA Customer Solutions Centre, this team actively collaborates with internal teams across Mastercard, and external parties including customers (the Issuers), merchants, and new strategic alliance partners to execute and drive solutions targeted on capturing current and future card spending volume.

The Senior Specialist will act as a business owner and manages long-term and short-term strategic initiatives for core products (credit, debit and prepaid). This role will oversee product evolution, establish go-to-market strategy, optimize products and resources, implement incremental improvements within the product's life cycle, conduct ongoing portfolio management, and provide relevant data analytics.

Role

• Support the internal and external stakeholders by growing core products in specific markets and driving engagement with issuers
• Lead face to face discussion with issues regarding product propositions with issuers
• Conduct regular competitive and market research to highlight opportunities and increase product profitability
• Key product contact for all issuer engagements; market insights and industry trends
• Drive portfolio optimization by analysing product metrics, benchmarking against geography and issuers to identify gaps and opportunities
• Track product performance by analyzing product KPIs to make recommendations regarding solutions to challenges in the portfolio or product strategy
• Track and report project plans and takes product to market by developing GTM strategies
• Research industry best practices to support internal and external knowledge documents
• Provide insights to influence the sales strategy, and contributes to the development of materials for training, RFPs and CVP development
• Support market roll-outs for new product launches and update to product CVP

All About You

• Proven product development, project management, problem solving, planning, follow-up and organizational skills, with a proven track record of success
• Relevant industry experience preferred such as payments or financial services
• Proficiency in data extraction and analysis, including the ability to effectively communicate observations, findings and preliminary insights
• Proven ability to provide support to cross-functional teams within various product lines, with substantial expertise in either technology or industry
• Track record of contributing to product launches by assisting in Project Management Office (PMO) readiness, conducting data analysis, or gathering competitor market data
• Strong project management, problem solving, planning, follow-up and organizational skills, with a proven track record. Being able to multitask is crucial to this role.
• Self-motivated and able to operate within a cross-functional team environment.
• Able to manage and oversee multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to pay attention to details
• Expert in Microsoft Product Suite – PowerPoint, Word and Excel
