Overview

Pricing and Interchange teams develop, coordinate and implement a coherent Pricing and Interchange strategy in close cooperation with the business owners. Therefore, pricing and interchange teams are in the heart of any commercial initiative by mastercard.
Pricing initiatives can touch any aspect of our business and vary from simply rate change to sophisticated project like pan-European e-commerce strategy. As pricing is impacting every of our customers and our revenues it is crucially important that all approved initiatives are properly recorded, implemented, and communicated.
In this role you will coordinate or perform yourself all post-approval activities for all of European pricing initiatives and portion of global initiatives: communications, implementation, finance reconciliation, stakeholders updates, maintaining pricing tracker, maintaining records and executive meeting minutes. You will have potential to become a key liaison to ensure smooth operation of pricing initiatives in Europe.
Occasionally you will also support development of select pricing initiatives.
This role offers a rare opportunity to learn and acquire firsthand knowledge about all breadth of pricing initiatives that are impacting Europe.

Role

In the role you will:
• Keep record of all pricing initiatives impacting Europe.
• Maintain pricing tracker.
• Maintain meeting minutes for European pricing and Interchange Committees.
• Distribute pricing information to European Pricing Group.
• Perform monthly pricing debriefs for finance and billing.
• Maintain monthly pricing update emailer.
• Draft, submit and secure publishing of pricing announcements.
• Serve as a first P&I contact point for billing during implementations.
• Serve as a first P&I contact point for approved pricing initiatives.
• Support senior team members in development of new pricing initiatives.
• Potentially own development of new pricing and interchange initiatives.

All About You

The ideal candidate:
• MA or BA in finance, accountancy, economy, math, physics or computer science
• Excellent analytical skills
• An excellent knowledge of Excel
• Eagerness and ability to learn
• Extreme attention to details
• Enjoys investigating complex riddles
• Likes arranging and maintaining order in records, categorization
• Not shy of work that requires diligence
• Good with numbers
• is reliable and accountable; able to work independently
• Effectively conveys messages in writing to non-technical audiences
• Good at learning from examples
• has excellent English communication skills (verbally and written)
• Has an ability to easily grasp complex concepts and synthesize on their basis
• Has an ability to form a comprehensive outlook of the topic
• Experience in accounting or financial audit is a plus
• Practical experience with Power BI, Tableau, R, Python is a plus
• Is a strong team player, hands-on, with a good sense of humor
